Conflict-of-interest compliance

Conflict checks that live where your client data already does.

FirmClear searches your firm's own Client Master Registry directly in Microsoft 365 — no separate database, no re-keying client names — and catches the near-misses a manual search can't: misspellings, nicknames, and sound-alike names across every matter you've ever opened.

Talk to us about a pilot Built for solo and small firms already running Microsoft 365 and SharePoint.

How it works

A conflict check is only as good as the names it can match. FirmClear is built specifically to close that gap, on infrastructure your firm already has.

Reads your registry directly

Connects to your firm's SharePoint client registry through Microsoft Graph — your data stays in your own Microsoft 365 tenant, never duplicated into a separate system.

Catches what manual search misses

Fuzzy and phonetic name matching flags misspellings, transposed names, and sound-alike variants that an exact-text search would let straight through.

Tracks resolution, not just detection

A flagged match gets tracked through to a documented resolution — informed consent, an ethical wall, recusal, or decline — not left as an open question.

Builds the record as you go

Every check and every resolution is captured into an audit trail your firm can produce if a conflict question is ever raised after the fact.

Where things stand

FirmClear is early — built deliberately, tested against real firm data, and not yet a finished product.

Currently in pilot with a Florida law firm, running conflict checks against a real client registry.

Interested in trying it at your firm?

We're working directly with a small number of firms while FirmClear is in pilot. If conflict checking against your own Microsoft 365 registry sounds useful, we'd like to hear from you.
